I use GIMP. (https://www.gimp.org/)
It is free and has more scope than Photoshop through his addons.

I never used Gimp before; I was trained in Photoshop. I downloaded Gimp just for the fun of it - v2.8.22. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime next week.

Since we're on topic of GIMP, I think it would be great if templates were available in GIMP's native .xcf format. GIMP doesn't support CMYK, so it can't open current .psd templates and converting them is a bit of pain in the a**. I got around it by using ImageMagick to convert Photoshop templates into PNG images and then creating a layered GIMP files. I can send them to you for review or you you could simply convert your original PSD templates from CMYK to RGB, since the latter are supported by GIMP. Just an idea.

No need to convert things. Just download the PNG versions of our templates. They are already in RGB format and have transparency in the places where your art goes. Just don't forget to erase the guidelines.

True, but I prefer to have guides as a separate layer, hence the use of ImageMagick to extract layers as PNG images :) I just thought having xcf files would save some time for Gimp users, especially since there are JPEG templates which seem a bit redundant, at least to me.

That's right.
It would make sense to replace the JPG template with an XCF template.

I did the separation manually but others might be put off.

And apparently I'm not the only GIMP user. :)

I build .xcf-templates.

( @PieMonster )
If you want, you can add them to the pattern download page. I can not guarantee that the link is always valid.
