Geforce graphics cards 2018

Post by PieMonster »

Anyone else looking at buying a new Geforce graphics card this year? I'm in desperate need of one but I'm waiting for the new 11xx series to come out - hopefully July or August.

I switched to AMD a few years ago.
The price-performance ratio (at that time) was much better there.

But currently, I'm not up to date :|

Nah, my 1070 was pricey enough and I barely play anything these days. Wolfenstein 2 and The Long Dark are the only games that I actually played this year, I think. That said, I kinda regret not trying to sell it a few months ago. Used cards were going for more than I had originally paid for mine. This whole cryptocurrency business is really messing up the market. My friend's card died over 2 months ago and he's still without a new one since he refuses to pay extra and prices are still a bit silly.

I've never bought anything other than nVidia. Some of the ATI cards may be faster for the price but they lack the compatibility of nVidia. I can't wait till the 11xx series. I upgraded my PC to an i7-8700K in April but I'm currently sporting a 760. I'm seriously in need of a graphics card upgrade.

Still rockin' my 980 Ti, but my mobo is getting old, so I may have to make a new build if I think about upgrading my GPU.
